What an interesting calendar. Practical everyday things to help. When each new year starts I write onto our main calendar all birthdays (and ages) etc to remember (on the appropriate day). I find this helps me see at a glance when cards and gifts are required.

The following new year I transfer from the old calendar to the new, adding any new dates to celebrate as I go.

I also keep a "Gifts" book where I note down all gift dates in advance and jot beside them in pencil ideas as I buy items on special/see just he right thing/ideas to make. This way I see which gifts I have already covered and which I need to keep an eye out for. In the same book I write down gifts we have each received for birthdays etc. If we were given cash I can then note what we bought with the gift money. I find this system very helpful and can avoid the embarrasment of giving a similar gift twice etc.
